The Board of Directors of the American Muslim Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Ibrahim Mohammed Ashour as the new Imam of AMI.
Imam Ibrahim previously served as Imam at Masjid al-Noor in Maadi, Cairo, where he also lectured on Islamic studies in English at Al-Ruwaq Al-Azhari, Al-Azhar Mosque for many years. He was regularly invited as a religious commentator and hosted programming on the Nile Family TV channel in Cairo, in both English and Arabic.
Imam Ibrahim graduated from the esteemed Al-Azhar University. He also recently earned a Master's degree in English, with a specialization in Linguistics, from Ain Shams University.
Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, Imam Ibrahim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our community. We are thrilled to welcome him to the American Muslim Institute and the greater Omaha community.
