AMI Cemetery
AMI owns 200 burial lots located at Graceland Park Cemetery, 4720 S. 42nd Street, Omaha, NE 68107.
Our cemetery is overseen by a dedicated committee committed to assisting families through the Islamic rituals of preparing and burying their loved ones with dignity and care. All Muslims have the right to be buried at AMI Cemetery.
Burial Service Guide
When the time comes, please follow these steps:
- Contact us as soon as possible at (402) 884-0070 or info@amiomaha.org to arrange the Islamic rites of Ghusl (washing) and burial.
- Please designate one family member as the primary point of contact throughout the process.
- Our staff will connect you with a member of our funeral committee, who will coordinate with the funeral home and cemetery on your behalf.
- The Janazah (funeral prayer) may be held at AMI or at the cemetery, according to the family's preference.
- A Janazah announcement will be sent to the community via email with prior family approval.
- Burial costs may vary depending on the season.
- Burial plots are assigned in compliance with our land map, with each gravesite placed immediately adjacent to an occupied plot.

Funeral Home
Funeral home charges are based on a pre-agreed price. Our committee will assist you in coordinating all arrangements.
Payments
All payments must be made directly to AMI. Cash or check is accepted and must be submitted to our administration upon completion of the burial form.
Winter Burials
In the event that a burial cannot take place due to severe winter weather, the deceased may remain at the funeral home until conditions allow for a proper burial.
